Rully 1er CruGrésigny

  • Vintage

This very old vine (around 80 years old) is situated in south-west of the appellation, in one of the better climats of Rully,
"Grésigny" which would mean in Burgundian old language:" A rapid small hillside".

  • Wine tasting

With this wine, we are in the same mineral vein as our Rully 1er Cru Margotés. Even if it seems a little less "compact" at the beginning of the tasting, when we warm up the glass a little, we sense on the nose an aromatic depth of the Chardonnay, a very pure expression, more precise of its terroir, all inter-linked and carried by a touch of oak coming from the vinification and ageing in barrels and demi-muids.
The palate, as well as being elegant, is full and harmonious. The quality of the fruits from this 80-year-old vine, give the feeling of power and depth. The finish is surprisingly long, fresh and very saline with a light bitter note.
To taste in two or three years for the fruit or after five years to discover or rediscover the quality of the rather exceptional terroir.
